Life II - Amazing time travel book must-read By Sam Hankins

This book has it all: hard science fiction, philosophy, intense psychological drama, and the complexity of human relationships. The book centers around a simple yet intriguing principle. Time travel is possible, but only such that it is possible to rewind one's own life, becoming young again and getting to live life over. Since it's impossible to travel into the future (since it hasn't happened yet), once you're in, there's no going back. To its credit, this book leaves no stone unturned. Over the many years of Max's rewound life (which he terms Life II), every side-effect and unintended consequence of this time travel, physical and psychological, is examined thoroughly and unrelentingly. Given the chance, Max struggles to live a better, different life, for better or for worse. This is one book that you won't be able to put down. The characters in this book really come to life; Max is supported during his second lifetime by a diverse cast of characters, each representing a different opportunity, and everyone, including Max, is human and real. The only thing I found slightly hard to believe was Max's speedy acceptance of the chance of time travel, but such is the allure of a second chance, I suppose. This is definitely one of my favorite books. If you're interested in any of the things listed above, you will love this book.
