CIR:  What gave you the idea for this particular twist on time travel?
SPOTSON:  I've always visualized "what if" I went back into my past.  What would I change?  Would the outcome actually be desirable if I made the change, or would the opposite happen?
CIR:  What was the writing process like for you, given all the time elements?
SPOTSON:  I jotted down many notes as the ideas appeared in my head.  For this book, I even used a calendar like schema because dates and timing of events are so important in this book.  I also had to check old calendars (on-line) to make sure that the date I chose made sense (i.e. school would have been on a Monday to Friday).
CIR: What makes  your book unique from all the other time travel stories out there?
SPOTSON:  It is one of the very few books that actually goes back to a time in one's life and re-lives that, as contrasted to taking off in a time machine.  Also, the character can only live the future one day at a time.  In that sense, it is much like Replay by Ken Grimwood.
CIR:  What themes do you address, and what do you hope readers will take away from it?
SPOTSON:  Longing, missed opportunities, regret, depression, yet at the same time determination and loyalty, as well as excitement at the opportunity to re-make the future.  I hope readers will take away the fascination of a life lived over again and how the characters grapple with the alternative future as contrasted to the previous 'future' that the main character already knew.
CIR:  Is there anything that might concern readers looking for a "clean" read?
SPOTSON:  This book is pretty clean.  A little profanity and a few sentences of mature themes, but that's about it.
